This is a Sonic Youth cover of a 70s classic by The Carpenters, which should be recognizable from countless “Classic Hits of 70s”-style television commercials (if not just because the song is one of those perfect over-dramatic pop tunes that really sticks to you). The whole thing — video and song — completely inhabits the source material:
